Impressive paper handling - Many different types of documents can be handled without fuss or interruption because of the two feed paths in each model; the classic U-turn ADF, and the straight-through path which accepts documents up to 1.25mm thick. And mixed batches are no problem thanks to the Automatic Profile Selection feature.
Minimising Maintenance Time
Maintenance can use up valuable production time, so to make it as efficient as possible we have developed some new and improved features. Daily cleaning mode allows users to be sure of correct cleaning of glass surfaces and rollers to give them a longer life. Durable, easy-to-maintain construction ensures consistent performance. Internal LED lights switch on automatically the moment the scanner is opened. And a 105° wide opening angle means servicing is quick and efficient. The daily cleaning mode ensures your scanner remains in peak condition.

The RICOH fi-8950 offers a complete package for high volume scanning. The hardware comes with its own PaperStream software, but can be flexibly deployed with any other capture application. It has also been optimised for use with industry-leading PaperStream Capture Pro software. RTS service plans and fixed-cost consumables and replacement parts offer predictable running costs. Back and front-side post-imprinting options are also available.

Incorporating both U-turn and straight-path scanning, many different document types can be handled without fuss or delay. Even documents up to 1.25mm in thickness can be accommodated via the straight-through path scanning option.

PaperStream IP
The fi-8950 comes bundled with PaperStream IP, an integrated scanner driver and image enhancement module that is built on TWAIN/ISIS standards offering user friendly operability, intuitive high quality image creation and real time processing that will benefit post scan routines like OCR.
PaperStream Capture
Also bundled is PaperStream Capture which is an easy to use capture tool which allows users to easily create batch scanning profiles which encapsulate all of the settings and configuration required to control the scanning process from scan, to the release of the image to the users normal work flow. Once created, batch profiles can be run by a single click or can be linked to scanner front panel buttons to streamline the whole capture process.
PaperStream Capture Pro
Work better, faster and smarter with the optional PaperStream Capture Pro a user friendly, end-to-end capture solution and optimise your information capture, data consolidation and routing of paper-based information into digitally-accelerated processes.
